The majestic introduction is followed by a joyful march to which the trombone glissandi add a touch of humour. The trio presents a fine lyrical melody which starts quietly before being repeated in a triumphant tutti. L'introduction majestueuse est suivie d'une marche joyeuse à laquelle les glissandi des trombones ajoutent un brin d'humour. Le trio comporte une belle mélodie lyrique, présentée d'abord discrètement, ensuite reprise dans un tutti triomphale.
