After the captivating introduction, the soprano voices present a delicate, playful theme, which is repeated by the tenor voices with a countermelody in legato. The second recapitulation is characterised by the alternation of soprano and bass voices. The trio part is played cantabile at the beginning, followed by a repetition in strong marcato.
