Dieser Marsch, der in den parallelen Tonarten f-Moll und Ab-Dur geschrieben ist, zeichnet sich durch eine solide Besetzung im Satz, gute dynamische Kontraste und sehr gut spielbare Teile für alle Register aus. Viele dieser leichteren King-Märsche wurden von seinem Verleger mit Titeln versehen, wie es bei diesem Marsch höchstwahrscheinlich der Fall ist. Henderson Field is a great King march at the medium level of difficulty. This march, written in the parallel keys of F minor and Ab major, features solid block scoring, good dynamic contrasts and very playable parts for all. Many of these easier King marches were given titles by his publisher, as is most likely the case with this march.
