Additional info/contents	Put on your helmet, buckle up, and hop into your soapbox car. Are you ready to race down the streets, take the curves, and speed down the straightaway? That's precisely what composer Marc Jeanbourquin wanted to musically depict in "THE GRAVITY RACER." After a fanfare-like introduction, the starting signal is given, and the soapbox cars begin to move. The ostinatos set the rhythm of the piece. Thus, the theme becomes ever-present until the slow section of the piece, where the entire ensemble can showcase its musical expression; as if a pilot had stopped for a brief pause to admire the scenery. In the final section, the piece resumes with a return of the ostinatos from the beginning, this time with the opening theme presented in a major key. The piece takes the drivers into one last curve and then straight toward the finish line.
