Additional info/contents	Call of the Aboriginals Uluru - Kata Tjuta was commissioned by the Nara Municipal Ichijo Senior High School Symphonic Band from Nara City, Nara Prefecture (Japan) to mark their 60th anniversary. Uluru is a huge inselberg in the endless expanse of the Australian hinterland. Uluru, also known as Ayers Rock, has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is considered a sacred site to the area's Aborigines, the Pitjantjatjara Anangu, but is now also a popular tourist destination, causing cultural and ecological conflicts. Written in a style typical of the composer, this work tells a dramatic adventure inspired by the life of the indigenous people and the wonderful landscape of Uluru. The work is suitable for both competitions and thematic concerts.
