Additional info/contents	Glorioso was commissioned by and dedicated to the Siena Wind Orchestra. After a short, aleatoric introduction, the work begins with a lively brass fanfare on just one note. The note F is omnipresent and leads into the slow, rather static movement. After the noble-sounding theme has led to an impressive climax, the fantastic and virtuosic finale is made up of the previously sounded elements. Stylistically, this spirited finale is clearly influenced by Dmitri Shostakovich, using the Russian master's famous musical signature, which he often used: C D Es B (or Ces). An impressive end to a special work that highlights various facets of the modern wind orchestra.
