Additional info/contents	With the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948, people from over 70 nationalities settled in their new (or should we say old) homeland. Besides their customs and habits, they also brought with them their own folk music. In this limited rhapsody, some of these tendencies are represented. The first theme is "Ma-Oz Tzur (Rock of Ages) a traditional religious melody for Chanukah. The next theme is a traditional fast Jewish dance and after that there is the joyful song "Ahavat Hadfasa" (the blue myrtle flowers) and the hora dance "Zemer, Zemer Lach (joyful singing). After a slow intermezzo, in the finale one hears a mixture of different dance melodies with an unmistakable Slavic character that lead to a tantalising climax.
