Additional info/contents	The composition Space Movements is based on the semitone interval. This interval can be heard throughout the composition in many variations. The composer tried to create a certain atmosphere and in this matter, judging by the comments from the students of the Doornik Conservatory who first performed the piece under his guidance, he has succeeded admirably. During the first few bars, the students had the sensation of travelling into the universe when the interval moved upwards. Hence thew name Space Movements. Cette oeuvre du compositeur André Waignein est fondée sur l'intervalle d*'un demi-ton, qui se recontre tout au long du morceau dans de nombreuses variations. Le compositeur visair à créer un certain climat et, à en croire les commentaires des élèves du conservatoire de Tournai qui furent les prmiers à interpréter cette compositions sous la direction de son auteur, celui-ci a réussi admirablement. Pendant les premières mesures, les intervalles ascendants donnaient aux jeunes musiciens la sensation de voyager à travers l'iunivers - d'où le titre Space Movements. André Waignein heeft in Space Movements gebruikgemaakt van een ostinato basthema als basis. Verder hebben in deze melodische compositie bijna alle secties van het orkest hun eigen afzonderlijke partij. He gaat om een werk met een klassiek tintje dat beslist een plaats verdient in uw concertreperoire.
