Additional info/contents	Otto M. Schwarz’s composition "Roller Coaster"—subtitled "A Symphonic Sketch"—depicts a roller coaster ride lasting approximately three and a quarter minutes, written for advanced wind orchestras. The concept of the "roller coaster" is conveyed through musical elements such as tempo, time signature, dynamics, and harmony. The introduction is marked "Slowly" and is in 2/4 time. At measure 10, the piece shifts to 4/4 time and accelerates significantly, marked "Fast." Following a modulation from C to D and a further intensification marked "Faster," a sense of increasing speed and suspense emerges. The work demonstrates how non-musical movement can be made tangibly real through musical composition. (© musicainfo.net)
