Additional info/contents	The city of Sion is known for its musical tradition, significantly shaped by the "l'Harmonie Municipale de Sion." This brass band, formed in 1904 from the merger of two local societies, has established itself as the official music corps of the Canton of Valais and performs in the first category. A central work in its repertoire is Michel Barras' march "Valère et Tourbillion," which musically reflects Sion's historical landmarks and connects the city's history with the present.
