The refreshing sound of Laszlo Dubrovay's "Trumpet Concerto No. 2"
Laszlo Dubrovay's "Trumpet Concerto No. 2," composed in 2002 for the Wangen Town Band in Germany, is a striking example of contemporary wind music. With a duration of approximately 18 minutes, the work is divided into three movements: Allegro, Moderato, Libero, and Presto. This concerto for trumpet and wind orchestra not only offers excellent solo passages but also illuminates the harmonic possibilities and tonal spectrum of an intermediate wind orchestra.
