Additional info/contents	Die Fledermaus (The Bat) - operetta in 3 acts, first performed 5 April 1874 at the Theater an der Wien. The arrangement for symphonic wind orchestra was made by Hans Eibl after most careful study of the original score. Eibl was a military bandmaster for 30 years and, among other things, also studied Viennese music in detail and always attached great importance to Viennese waltz accompaniment in particular.
