Additional info/contents	Backdraft is a 1991 action thriller film directed by Ron Howard and written by Gregory Widen. The film stars Kurt Russell, William Baldwin, Scott Glenn, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Rebecca De Mornay, Donald Sutherland, Robert De Niro, Jason Gedrick and J. T. Walsh. It is about the firefighters in Chicago on the trail of a serial arsonist who sets fires with a fictional chemical substance, trychtichlorate. As a young boy Brian McCafferty (William Baldwin) watches his fire-fighter father perish while on a ride along with him. Years on Brian decides to join the fire service and becomes a rookie fire fighter. To try and earn the respect of his older brother, Stephen (Kurt Russell) and the other fire fighters, Brian takes a part in an investigation into a string of arson attacks and murders after becoming frightened in a fire situation, and then gets into an investigative office and finds that he is now not only putting out the arsonist's fires, he's trying to track them down.
