Additional info/contents	William is perhaps the name of a person in the composer's circle, or perhaps an imaginary figure. The name comes from Old High German and consists of two meanings, namely "Willio" (= the will, the determination) and "Helm" (= the helmet, covering, covering, protection). Together thus "Wilhelm", the determined protector. Williem is the English form of Wilhelm (Old High German). I. Will o' the Wisp Little William is curious. Every movement he watches, every sound arouses his interest. When he is taller, he jumps around, is sometimes there, sometimes there. Like a will-o'-the-wisp that can't be caught. II Dianthus Barbatus (Sweet William) The whiskered carnation (Dianthus Barbatus) challenges our patience, as it only develops its picturesque flowering splendour in its second year. A Dianthus barbatus compensates us for this waiting time with fireworks of bright colours and frugal modesty. We must have the same patience with little, sweet William. III Will Power William has strength, he would like to stand upright, but balance is still missing.
