Additional info/contents	The Dutch composer Hardy Mertens wrote a tone poem about Iris - the Greek goddess of the rainbow, freely adapted from a poem by Iris van Cleef. The piece is written in a modern musical language with a short, lyrical middle section. Special is the instrumentation of the percussion instruments, as well as their arrangement (left, right and in the middle behind the orchestra).
