Additional info/contents	Shrek is a 2001 computer-animated feature film by DreamWorks, telling the story of an ogre of the same name who lives in a fairy tale world and accidentally gets caught up in an adventure to save a princess. The story is based on the children's book Shrek! by William Steig. The word Shrek is borrowed from Yiddish and corresponds to the German word for "fright". Actually, Shrek lives green and secluded in his swamp and doesn't let anyone disturb him. But when the evil Lord Farquaad drives all the fairytale creatures out of Duloc, some of them flee to Shrek and take over his home. Together with a chattering donkey, he sets out to win the beautiful Princess Fiona as a wife for Lord Farquaad. If he succeeds, he may have his swamp to himself again.
