Additional info/contents	In this work, Jacob de Haan draws on an old legend about a dragon that once lived near the Dutch city of Zwolle and repeatedly demanded human sacrifices from the inhabitants before being slain by the Archangel Michael. For this composition, the melody of the hymn Laudate Dominum was chosen as the central musical theme of the archangel. The dragon is represented by a series of chords that evoke menacing imagery.
