A mother, a daughter, three possible fathers and an unforgettable wedding - Mamma mia!
Donna (Meryl Streep) runs a small hotel on a Greek island, which she actually has enough to do. But the upcoming wedding of her 20-year-old daughter Sophie (Amanda Seyfried), whom she raised alone, brings additional turmoil. Sophie and her chosen Sky (Dominic Cooper) are eagerly awaiting the big day and are looking forward to a lavish celebration. Donna has invited her two best friends, Rosie (Julie Walters) and Tanya (Christine Baranski), with whom she used to have the pop band "Donna and the Dynamos". Everything could be perfect, but Sophie has one big wish: she would like to know who her father actually is. Her mother has never revealed this secret. By chance, Sophie discovers her mother's diary, in which she finds a clue to her possible father. Only - there could be three different men in question. To finally get some clarity, she invites all three candidates secretly to the island. When Sam (Pierce Brosnan), Harry (Colin Firth) and Bill (Stellan Skarsgaard) actually show up at the door, the surprise is great! Now it will be decided who will walk Sophie down the aisle.... But until that happens, there are still a few surprises and twists to get through....
