Additional info/contents With ABBA in Concert Heinz Briegel has created a new arrangement for wind orchestra and deliberately used titles that have not been published in this compilation before. The medley is imaginatively orchestrated, contains strong rocking rhythms, but also beautiful melodic elements that allow a lot of musical expression. ABBA in Concert is perfectly suited for a demanding brass band concert.

The Swedish pop group ABBA was one of the world's most popular music groups of the 1970s and early 1980s. With more than 370 million records sold, ABBA is one of the most successful bands in music history. The band formed in early 1970 and made their international breakthrough in 1974 when they won the Eurovision Song Contest in the English seaside resort of Brighton with the song Waterloo. Characteristic of the group were the colourful, pop costumes that the musicians wore during their performances and in the music videos. Especially in the mid-1970s, when hits like SOS, Mamma Mia, Fernando and Dancing Queen were created, ABBA was considered a co-founder of a new international pop music because of their elaborate and sophisticated music productions. In 1982, the band broke up after about ten years of existence.
