Additional info/contents	This work is Kevin Houben's musical tribute to the famous 16th century Renaissance painter Pieter Brueghel (the Elder). It begins with an overall view of the painting Ascent to Calvary, followed by the discovery of many individual scenes. The musical translation of the letters in the name Brueghel serves as a rhythmic and melodic leitmotif, while the religious theme is represented in a Kyrie from the Gregorian Requiem Missa pro defunctis. In the final section, the seven blows on the anvil symbolize the crucifixion of Christ.
