Additional info/contents	In this work, Jan Hadermann retells the Christmas story with four traditional Flemish Christmas carols: The song Het was een maged uitverkoren (There was a maid chosen) is followed by Maria, die zoude naar Bethlehem gaan (Mary who was to go to Bethlehem). The Christmas night is described in Okerstnacht, schoner dan de dagen (O Christmas night, more beautiful than the days). After the arrival of the holy kings in Wij komen van Oosten (We come from the East), the piece ends with a festive reprise of the chorale from the third part.
