Additional info/contents	"Latin American Dances 2" is a new suite of three original dances for symphony orchestra, drawing on dance rhythms from Latin America. All three dances employ a repeating two-bar clave pattern (2+3 or 3+2) commonly found in contemporary Latin American music. Each movement also begins with the same five-note motif, starting on the fifth degree of the scale (5-6-5-4-5) and then unfolding melodically. "Latin American Dances 2" was premiered by and is dedicated to the Austin Symphonic Band and their conductor, Richard Floyd.
