Additional info/contents	The percussion sextet Log Rhythms was commissioned by Marvin Sparks for performance in 1994 by the University of Houston Percussion Ensemble in conjunction with the Dance Department of the University of Houston. The title was suggested by my wife. The original performance was with six percussionists and six dancers; all were on stage and the dancers interacted with the musicians. The sextet is scored for a total of 25 different instrumental parts with some unusual performance techniques and 'hissing'.
