Additional info/contents	The Sonatina for Trumpet and Viola was commissioned by Robert A. Myers. After a discussion with Myers I asked him if he would like a solo work for perhaps a duet with percussion. He replied that he would like a something different and would like a duet with viola, adding that it would be achallenge for the two instruments to balance. The individual movements are not titled. For this performance the trumpet soloist used a Harmon Mute for the second movement, a suggestion that I fully support.
