Additional info/contents	Suite Marchigana is a three-movement work inspired by folk songs from the Marche region of central Italy. The first movement deals with the pasquella, which has its origins in a traditional winter begging ritual in which a group of musicians went from house to house. The second movement is an Andante Triste, inspired by an old melancholic song called Sona la mezzanotte. At the end of his suite, Luciano Feliciani placed the cheerful, dazzling dance Saltarello Marchigiano as a contrast.
