The history of wedding music spans from the Baroque era to the present day and encompasses both traditional and modern compositions. Fitz Neuböck's "Wedding Day" for wind orchestra is a contemporary example that musically depicts the wedding day in three movements: "Early in the Morning" (the bride's awakening), "Romantic Thoughts" (inner feelings), and "Wedding Bliss" (the festive climax).
