Programme notes: One day August decides to go to the mountains. Relaxed and casual he strolls along the ascent, poorly equipped. With the summit before his eyes, he sees a shortcut through a rock face. He climbs up the difficult climb with high spirits and full of confidence that he will reach the summit faster. Now August is in a difficult situation. Not forwards and not backwards, he slips on a slippery spot and falls backwards down the mountain. August lies covered in blood and motionless on a ledge. Slowly August regains consciousness and can't believe that he has fallen out of the wall because of his bad equipment. Slightly injured, August is determined to reach the summit. But this time he chooses the easier ascent to the mountain. Finally arriving at the summit cross, August remembers the awkward situation in the rock face. And if he has learned from this, he is still alive today.
