Additional info/contents	A Festive Opening is a festive opening work for wind orchestra. The fanfare-like introduction by the brass and the subsequent lyrical section, which is underpinned by rhythmic elements in the low brass and percussion, create a joyful and celebratory atmosphere. In the following section, the opening theme is processed in the form of a chorale-like intermediate section introduced first by the brass and then by the woodwinds. The climax of the slow chorale is experienced by the whole orchestra. A rhythmic part in the percussion leads into the fiery finale, which flows into the melodies and the fanfare from the beginning of the piece and sets an effective final point.
