Additional info/contents	To mark its 60th anniversary, the Rhineland-Palatinate State Police Orchestra, as a cultural ambassador for its state, commissioned this work in its anniversary year of 2013. What do Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg, and Johannes Gutenberg have in common? They all represent a revolution in communication and information technology. Johannes Gutenberg, the "man of the second millennium," was born Johannes Gensfleisch around 1400 in the German city of Mainz. He is considered the inventor of the printing press with movable type and thus initiated a media revolution—thanks to his invention, knowledge could reach all levels of society for the first time. This work is a tribute to this great man and the far-reaching impact of his invention, which continues to this day. (© Mitropa Music)
