Additional info/contents	"Santiano" is a North German band that created a new sound from traditional folk and shanty songs, combined with a mixture of schlager, folk and rock. The band's name origins in the same-named shanty. Since 2011, the five musicians perform under their name "Santiano", they are very successful and at least since their appearance at the prelimary decision of the Eurovision Song Contest in 2014, they are well know with a broad audience. The unique, buff sound with unmistakable choruses and the almost piratical image helped the band to win a big fanbase. Hans-Joachim Rogoll combined four of the Nordic rockers' most popular songs to a sweeping medley: "Santiano - Rock von der Küste" (Rock from the Seaside). The well-known shanty "Alle, die mit uns auf Kaperfahrt fahren" serves as opener and leads us to the world of pirates. "Santiano" expresses the sailors' craving for the sea and adventues, whereas "Wir sind frei" rather reminds us of an Irish folk song. The energetiv "Es gibt nur Wasser" forms the brisk conclusion of the well-made compilation. Enter the stage with your sailors and conquer the musical oceans - Ahoy! 1.
