An exciting solo concerto for an advanced bassoon student! Ideal for Prima la Musica or other youth competitions!
The composer wrote this piece for his daughter Amelie when she began playing the bassoon. He wanted to write something more enjoyable than simple etudes and interval exercises to motivate her practice during her first year. Since the bassoon's range is not yet very large in the first year, this concerto is suitable for students who are technically more advanced but whose embouchure is still limited to the range of a first or second year student.
