Additional info/contents	The first movement characterizes the Latin aphorism CARPE DIEM ("Seize the day"). The main theme is expressively repeated several times by the various instrumental groups. The primary focus is on tonal balance, sound quality, precise dynamics, and accurate phrasing. The aim is to create a tranquil atmosphere of "CARPE DIEM," reflecting the motto: "Those who strive for happiness should seize their opportunities!" The second movement is a setting of the Greek aphorism PANTA REI ("Everything flows"). A cheerfully lively, rhythmic movement of easy difficulty, this section offers excellent opportunities to harmoniously balance melody and rhythm between the different instrument sections. Finally, after the "PANTA REI," the "CARPE DIEM" theme returns, and the piece concludes with a peaceful resolution. "The passage of time is an essential part of time itself." (© Carlo Pirola)
