Additional info/contents	We encounter Irish blessings in the field of literature and music in many different ways and they have enjoyed great popularity for many years. With the present work "May the Road Rise", the German composer and teacher Markus Götz has created a moving setting of such a blessing in the form of a ballad for solo violin and wind orchestra on the basis of a traditional Irish melody. The work was written for the youth orchestra of the Stadtmusik Zell and was premiered in December 2018. The young musician Fabian Girod was the soloist. The sensitive music of "May the Road Rise" is able to address and touch the listener in a very direct and immediate way. In addition to the performance in an annual concert, the special acoustics of a church room can intensify this effect even more impressively. The solo part can be played by a violin as well as by a flute or clarinet. Prt Vln-Solo (opt.
