The soldiers of Jägerbataillon 26 is in the garrison Spittal an der Drau (Carinthia, Austria) are distinguished above all by:
-their competence in mountain combat,
-extensive experience abroad,
-their alpine and physical capabilities.
These qualities ensure their unrestricted operational capability in the mountains and in difficult terrain. True to their motto "Carinthians always ahead", the soldiers of Jägerbataillon 26 can always be found at home and abroad wherever there are challenging tasks to be solved. In addition, the unit is reinforced by soldiers of Jägerbataillon 24 from East Tyrol.
