Additional info/contents This piece is a 'fun' item the idea being that the band mingles with the audience and appears on the platform section by section. This can occur at the beginning or in the middle of a programme.

The Percussion opens proceedings by establishing the rhythm and tempo. During this Percussion break the Bass section take up their positions and remain standing. It is possible that whilst they take their positions someone with a microphone might call out the bandpersons' names, so as to introduce the section. Upon indication the bass section now plays letter A. Ensure at this stage that Bass Eb I (who has the melody) is not clouded by the other three parts. Upon arrival at two bars before B the Bass section should be seated whilst the Trombones take up their places (standing). The introduction of the Trombone section, by name, again could be employed here. When they are ready they play B and so this format goes on. At section D the Horns play and at section E the 'presenter' could begin to call out the names of the Cornet section pretending not to realise that the horns have some more to play! The Cornets then follow on the normal way at F and at two bars before G they take their seats. Section G must be kept light, short and tight. One bar before H the Trombones give the signal for everyone to stand and play the final section. Throughout this whole piece it is important that the melody be heard and not obscured by accompanying voices.
