Additional info/contents	In the 1980s and 1990s, one could observe an increased interest in the old swing of the 1930s and 1940s. The centre of this development was particularly in the American state of California, in LosAngeles and San Francisco. Peter Kleine Schaars composed the piece San Fransisco Swing according to the rules of old swing, in which each beat has a ternary subdivision, but with modern sounds and harmonies.The frequent use of the rhythm units 22 and 24 in all parts of the composition means that any orchestra can present a "swinging" performance, regardless of its experience with swing music!
