This composition embodies the characteristic sounds and musical traditions of Styria in a special way and is a testimony to the regional style of music with a mixture of march and folk music elements. Stritzko's original composition is characterised by a rousing melody carried by rhythmically distinctive march structures. The march contains typical folk melodies that are performed with a light yet energetic swing. The focus is on clear, traditional harmonies which, in combination with dynamic phrases, convey the charm of the Styrian musical tradition. The composition focuses on catchy themes that remain in the audience's ear and are easy to hum - one reason why it is so popular with music societies. arrangement by Stefan Ebner for modern wind orchestra The arrangement by Stefan Ebner takes the work into a new dimension by adapting it for the modern wind orchestra.
