Additional info/contents	The piece is inspired by Emilio Salgari's (1862–1911) novel "Le Selve Ardenti" (1910), the last of the three novels in the Wild West cycle (the others in the trilogy are "Sulle frontiere del far West" and "La scentennatrice"). Enrico Tiso sets "Le Selve Ardenti," Salgari's last Western novel, to music. The surviving Sioux seek refuge in Canada, led by Minnehaha, pursued by the U.S. Army and other figures. Clashes and chases reveal the deep hatred between the Sioux and the Americans.
