Additional info/contents	Originating in Argentina, the tango has been danced around the world for about a hundred years. It is considered a symbol of erotic passion and fiery southern temperament. Another characteristic of the tango, however, ensures that passion always remains under control and does not overstep the boundaries of what is permissible. This refers to the strict elegance, expressed, for example, in the dancers' clothing and their proudly upright posture. This facet of elegance is also the central element in Peter Schad's composition TANGO ELEGANTO: Large-scale melodic arches make the dancers seem to float effortlessly across the dance floor. While some rhythmic passages enliven the image, they leave no doubt that the lyrical nature of the melody dominates. A tango not just for dancing, but also for quietly humming along to!
