Composer Schuh, Josef
Additional info/contents Professor Josef Schuh was commissioned to write a jubilee march for the Burgenland Military Band to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Austrian Armed Forces.
The composer skillfully incorporates well-known melodies and musical quotations from Burgenland composers:
The march begins with a military signal, followed immediately by a quotation of Joseph Haydn's Symphony No. 94 – "The Surprise."
In the second part, the Burgenland anthem by Peter Zauner is briefly heard, before the trio section quotes the march "Freistadt – Eisenstadt" by Gregor Wurm, and the march concludes solemnly with the trumpet signal "Zapfenstreich" (Tattoo).
A march that should be in every march book (not just in Burgenland).
Handcrafted and proven musical quality from the renowned composer Professor Josef Schuh.

Also published by Kliment: The march "Durch’s Pinkatal" (Through the Pinka Valley). A tribute to the composer's homeland.
