Additional info/contents	ORYZA was written for the 42nd Altea International Competition in Spain. Paella is widely consumed by Spaniards during various celebrations. The work describes the process of rice production from harvest to consumption. All themes are linked to a leitmotif consisting of the four notes from the score's title. Variations, transformations, and colorful orchestration create beautiful cohesion within the piece. ORYZA is a strong commitment to the lyrical and the epic. (© Molenaar)
