Additional info/contents	Alois Wimmer's "Congratulation Overture" is a composition for wind orchestra, written to commemorate the 130th anniversary of the Peuerbach Music Association. The work consists of four movements, each musically representing one of the municipalities of Peuerbach, Steegen, and Bruck/Waasen. A framing, fanfare-like theme symbolizes the region's sense of unity. The first movement, for Peuerbach, employs an innovative 5/4 time signature; the second, for Steegen, is slow and lyrical, featuring a solo brass quintet; and the third, for Bruck/Waasen, presents a cheerful 6/8 theme. The framing theme connects the sections and emphasizes the unity of the municipalities. The composition blends tradition and modernity in wind band music. (he)
