Additional info/contents	Alfred Reed's suite "Armenian Dances No. 1" for wind orchestra is based on five Armenian folk songs collected and arranged by Komitas Vartabed. Reed blends traditional melodies with modern compositional techniques, creating a symphonic language that preserves the character of Armenian music. The suite consists of five movements, each based on an Armenian folk song. Reed emphasizes rhythmic complexity, employing syncopated passages and changing time signatures, and highlights the tonal colors of the wind orchestra.
