Additional info/contents	The waltz "Ballettratten" (Op. 226) by the Czech composer Julius Fučík (1872–1916) is among the most popular works in the wind band repertoire. Originally composed for salon orchestras, the waltz quickly became a standard piece for wind bands due to its melodic accessibility and tonal variety. The best-known arrangement for wind band is by Heribert Raich. It preserves Fučík's original melodic lines and harmonies, but adapts the orchestration to the sonic possibilities of a wind band. (he)
