Additional info/contents	Julius Fucik composed the waltz "Ballettratten" (Op. 226) in 1909. The work originated within the Bohemian brass band tradition and combines Viennese waltz elements with typical Bohemian sounds. Originally written for orchestra, it was later arranged for wind band. Jaroslav Maren's arrangement transferred the waltz's delicate lightness to wind band, with woodwinds and flutes taking the melodic lead, while brass and percussion provide rhythmic accents. The clear dynamics and transparent instrumentation make the work accessible even to smaller ensembles.
