Johann Nepomuk Král, born on September 14, 1839 in Mainz and died on January 1, 1896 in Tulln, was an outstanding figure in the world of 19th century military music. As a recognized military bandmaster in Austria-Hungary, he left behind an important legacy, including his Opus 51, the "Bruckerlager March" from 1874.

The fame of Johann Nepomuk Král as a military bandmaster is based, among other things, on this impressive composition. The "Bruckerlager March" is not only a musical masterpiece, but also a homage to the large military camp or military training area in Bruck an der Leitha. The connection between the march and this important military base gives the work a special historical and regional significance.

The piece, published as Opus 51 in 1874, reflects Král's talent and deep understanding of the military musical tradition. The march captures the mood and spirit of the military exercises in the Brucker camp, and the melody carries the majesty and discipline of the soldiers.

The choice of the name "Bruckerlager-Marsch" underlines the composer's connection to the military camp in Bruck an der Leitha. This place served as a backdrop for the training and preparation of the troops, and Král managed to capture this atmosphere in his work.
