The operetta "Gagliostro in Vienna" is hardly to be found on the theatres' splitting plans any more, but the overture to it has secured itself a firm place on the concert programmes to this day. By retaining the original keys (F, Eb and C) and the successful transfer of the symphony orchestra's sound surfaces to the wind orchestra, the present edition is a valuable addition to the repertoire of the bands.
