Additional info/contents Sousa composed a march in 1930, calling it "The Sword of San Jacinto". When the manuscript found its way to the publisher, however, the title was changed Kansas Wildcats, and the printed version was dedicated to the Kansas State College of Agriculture and Applied Science in Manhattan, Kansas. In a letter to the publisher, Mr. Sousa approved the change of title.
Though little known, it is considered by many persons to be one of Sousa's best marches.
