Additional info/contents	Dámaso Pérez Prado defined the mambo as "merely an Afro-Cuban rhythm with a flavour of American swing". In 1949 Pérez Prado signed a contract with RCA Mexico and his first recordings, made in Mexico City on December 12, 1949 were "Qué Rico el Mambo" and "Mambo Nº 5". In the 1950's he became also a star in the USA where he was considered as "The Mambo King".
