Additional info/contents	The piece challenges conductors and musicians in several ways: the composition does not move in traditional cadential harmony, but over ostinato cadential fields; the three themes are laid out in symmetrical periods.The demands on instrumental technique remain limited, but the musicians should intonate with sharp ears, otherwise some four-notes could give the impression that they are "wrong". The conductor's wind orchestra of the Federal Academy for Musical Youth Education has premiered and recorded the composition. It confirmed the impression that this work is a piece of music of a new conception that compels attentive listening. Horn players find a rewarding solo task; if there is no trained horn player, the tenor player takes over his part. The music does not suffer any loss of substance if the oboe and bassoon are not present, but timpani should be present. The piece was composed on behalf of the Federal Association of German Wind and Folk Music Associations for the bands of the intermediate level.
